8mm Wedding

Here is some footage I shot at my friend's wedding.  It was shot on regular 8mm plus-x reversal film using a Bell and Howell Filmo Companion.  The next step is to get it transferred frame-by-frame in HD.

Until then, it looks best to watch it as it appears without enlarging....

Earth Heart Storyboard

Lately, I've been working on finishing this storyboard for a short stop-motion/live action film I wrote a while back. Once I have it completed, I plan to create a sleek PDF, which I will then use to help me get people interested and involved with the project.

Below is page one from the storyboard (click to enlarge):

Walk Cycle

I made this puppet a while back, but hadn't had a chance to animate with it yet. This is my first attempt at animating a walk cycle.

Enjoy!

shucks.

A couple weekends ago, some friends and I entered the 48 Hour Film Festival 2010 in Louisville, KY.  Basically, you have from Friday evening to Sunday evening (hence 48 hours) to write, shoot, and edit a 4-7 minute film.  Each team draws a genre out of a hat, and every team must use the following character, prop, and line in their film.

Character:  Michael or Maggie Charles, a scientist.
Prop: A photo of mom.
Line: "What's that smell?"

Our team, TEAM EXTREME!, drew the genre Dark Comedy.  Our film won two awards: "Best use of Character" and "Special Judge's Award, Up & Comers"

Please watch it in full screen mode. Below is our film:

Graphic Design: Clovehitch Brewery

The Kentucky State Fair holds a homebrew beer competition every year, and one of the categories you can enter is "Series of Three Labels Most Likely to be Mistaken for a Commerical Brewery (representing different beer styles from the same brewer.)"
I decided that Clovehitch Brewery would be an appropriate subsidiary of Clovehitch Productions.
I won a blue ribbon for my category, and also took home the Best in Show award amongst all the labels.
